The Doubell Jumbo MK2 brick-making machine is well-suited for a commercial brickyard. It does 500 drop cycles each 8-hour shift (at under a minute per cycle). The brickyard team should consist of around 5 laborers & the area required is 450m² of concrete slab (or compacted flat surface). This machine uses interchangeable MK2 moulds - simply adjust the machine settings (change time is around 40 minutes). Parts that wear and tear can be replaced with spares readily available - this means that the machine should last well beyond 20 years in even the toughest conditions. The size of the machine makes it perfect to load on a pick-up truck / bakkie to transport.
